Support as an expression of shared responsibility
At the Folkwang University of the Arts, the promotion of young artists is at the heart of our identity as a university of art and music. Our students have great creative potential, passion and creative vision - they shape our society of tomorrow with their artistic forms of expression. To enable them to focus all their energy on their artistic and academic development, they need reliable support - ideally, structurally and financially.
Scholarships, funding programmes and committed partnerships are invaluable in this regard. They open up space for young artists, enable projects, facilitate access and, last but not least, strengthen the social appreciation of artistic work. With their commitment, our funding partners make an important contribution to equal opportunities, diversity and excellence at our university. We owe them our special thanks for this.
One outstanding example of this is the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship. Together with private sponsors and the federal government, we enable students to receive financial support that goes far beyond the material dimension: the scholarship supports them in pursuing creative paths, promotes interdisciplinary exchange and recognises the artistic achievements and social commitment of our students.
The University Funding department coordinates, supports and develops these diverse funding opportunities. Together with private sponsors, foundations, companies and public institutions, we are committed to supporting our students and the university as a whole. For us, university funding means assistance through scholarships, competitions and instrument loans. Numerous projects and research projects are realised thanks to the support of our sponsors and contribute to improving the quality of everyday student life.
We cordially invite you to become part of this network and join us in supporting young talents on their way.
