The Student Parliament (StuPa) is the supreme decision-making body of the student body and is elected by the student body in a general, direct, free, equal and secret election for a term of one year. 18 members are elected, consisting of three direct representatives from each faculty and six representatives of the entire student body, regardless of their faculty affiliation.
During the lecture period, the StuPa meets at least once a month, discusses matters concerning the student body and decides on fundamental student issues. It elects and commissions the General Students' Committee (AStA) and decides on the student body's statutes and budget.

Felix Kaumanns (FB2)
The student election committee (StWA) organizes the elections to the student parliament and is appointed by the incumbent StuPa. The election committee consists of 3 members who are not allowed to run for the upcoming StuPa.
The appointment of the StWA takes place once a year, usually in the first session of the winter semester.
