In this Master’s course that equips students to be professional dance teachers, students may choose a concentration in Contemporary Dance or Classical Dance. The basis in the Contemporary Dance specialization is the Jooss-Leeder technique.
The subjects to be studied are: methods/methodologies, principles of teaching, physiology, theory of dance, and music, plus work observation and work experience. The duration of the course is four semesters.
Prerequisites for the course are knowledge of the German language (CEFR level A1), a degree in dance and at least three consecutive years of work experience onstage, as well as a talent for teaching (to be demonstrated in a sample lesson).
