Erasmus+ is the EU program to promote education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
It has a budget of around 26.2 billion euros. This is almost twice as much as the previous program (2014-2020).
The 2021-2027 program focuses on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions and promoting young people's participation in democratic life.

The Erasmus+ programme supports the objectives of the European education agendas, promotes the modernization, internationalization and qualitative improvement of the higher education sector in Europe, increases the attractiveness of the EU as a place to study and research and contributes to the sustainable development of higher education in third countries. In addition, it strengthens international skills, personal development and the employability of students in particular.

The following European countries participate in ERASMUS+: The 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

The ERASMUS University Charter (EUC) is awarded by the EU Commission and proves that a university meets all the requirements for successful participation in the ERASMUS+ program.
