Sciebo – die Hochschulcloud NRW ist ein landesweiter Cloud-Speicherdienst, der von der Digitalen Hochschule NRW (DH.NRW) getragen wird. Die Plattform bietet Studierenden, Lehrenden und Mitarbeitenden eine datenschutzkonforme Alternative zu kommerziellen Cloud-Anbietern mit Speicherplatz für Forschung, Studium und Verwaltung. Sie ermöglicht sichere Dateiablage, Synchronisation und gemeinsame Nutzung. Sciebo ist Teil des Handlungsfelds „Digitale Infrastruktur“ der DH.NRW und dient der digitalen Souveränität, Zusammenarbeit und nachhaltigen Vernetzung der Hochschulen. Sciebo steht für Windows, macOS, Linux sowie als App für iOS und Android zur Verfügung, sodass Sie Ihre Daten jederzeit im Zugriff haben.
Um Sciebo nutzen zu können, registrieren Sie sich einfach mit Ihrem Folkwang-Login. Das von Ihnen im Zuge der Registrierung vergebene Passwort ist unabhängig von allen Folkwang-Zugängen.
Sie erhalten einen großen persönlichen Speicherbereich (in der Regel 30 GB, bei Bedarf auch mehr), in dem Sie Dateien sicher ablegen, von verschiedenen Geräten synchronisieren und für andere freigeben können. Für die Zusammenarbeit können Sie Ordner mit anderen Personen teilen, gemeinsam an Dokumenten arbeiten und über die Weboberfläche zusätzliche Funktionen wie Textverarbeitung oder Präsentationen nutzen.
Alle Daten werden ausschließlich an Hochschulrechenzentren in NRW gespeichert und unterliegen den strengen deutschen Datenschutzstandards. Bitte beachten Sie, dass vor der Nutzung geprüft werden muss, ob die jeweiligen Daten in sciebo gespeichert werden dürfen – sensible oder besonders schützenswerte Daten (z. B. personenbezogene oder vertrauliche Forschungsdaten) unterliegen besonderen rechtlichen und hochschulinternen Vorgaben.
Die Folkwang-Cloud (cloud.folkwang-uni.de) wird durch die landesweite Hochschulcloud Sciebo abgelöst. Diese Anleitung zeigt den einfachsten Weg für den Umzug Ihrer Daten.

The ordinance on protecting against Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 infections in relation to incoming and returning international travellers (Coronavirus Entry Ordinance) and the NRW Quarantine Regulations are constantly being adjusted. According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, it is possible for EU citizens, citizens of Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, and persons from countries on the ‘Positive list’ to enter Germany without any restrictions. The same applies to citizens of third countries with an existing, longer-term residence permit for an EU or Schengen country (residence permit or longer-term visa). Other persons based in third countries not specified above may only enter Germany if this is absolutely necessary. Initial entry for study purposes is possible, but only if face-to-face learning is required. A valid study visa must generally be provided; any potential exceptions must be discussed with your local German foreign representation. Upon request, the Student Matters employees can issue all students with confirmation that, despite the current coronavirus situation, attendance will be required (face-to-face, not just online) during the 2021 summer semester.
PLEASE NOTE: Any state or federal quarantine requirements must, however, be complied with.
Since 14/01/2021, according to the Coronavirus Entry Ordinance, persons entering Germany from risk areas (high incidence area and virus variant area) must carry a negative corona test result with them on entry and present it to the competent authority if required. They must complete a digital registration on entry (or directly inform the relevant health authority, if applicable).
The following currently applies in NRW until 26/3/2021:
_Travellers arriving from virus variant areas designated by the Robert Koch Institute.
Any traveller arriving from these countries must self-isolate for 10 days. The negative test certificate to be carried on entry must be presented to the competent health authority immediately and without being requested. Any symptoms appearing during the self-isolation period must be immediately reported to the authorities. The self-isolation ends prematurely at the earliest from the fifth day after entry in the case of a negative test that has been taken on the fifth day at the earliest.
_Travellers arriving from other areas deemed high risk by the Robert Koch Institute.
Travellers arriving from these countries are required to take a covid-19 test in the 48 hours prior to their arrival or directly upon arrival (entry testing) or to self-isolate for 10 days. If no testing facilities are available at the point of entry, the test must be taken within 24 hours. Exceptions to this rule include daily and weekly cross-border commuters who have to travel to NRW for study purposes and who are free of covid-19 symptoms. Self-isolation ends immediately with a negative test result (clearance test).

Due to the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic, however, the university’s executive board has now decided not to accept any incoming students during the summer semester.
