Tours & tutorials

The library offers weekly tours of the library and its collections in both English and German. Furthermore, we offer special tours for groups as well as seminars and tutorials on how to use the library effectively.

Guided tours

Guided tours of the library in Essen-Werden are scheduled for the beginning of term. You can find the appointments here.

Please contact the library if you wish to schedule a guided tour for a group.

Reference service and seminars

We are happy to help you navigate the library and its collections individually. Please speak to us during service hours at the issue desk or send us an email at bibliothek(at)folkwang-uni.de.

For teaching staff, we offer to hold seminars on library related topics that may be integrated into the curriculum of your course. The seminar can be specifically shaped to the group of students and the topic of your course.

The virtual library on the Folkwang e-learning platform Moodle offers further tutorials, reference materials and reading lists for selected seminars.

You can find an alphabetical glossary of the library here and on the E-Learning platform Moodle. The Library Team is happy to help you with any query at the information desk during service hours or by email at bibliothek(at)folkwang-uni.de.
