Advisory board of institutions of higher learning
of the federal state of North Rhine-Westfalia
Experts from the European art and music scene act in an advisory capacity for the state of North-Rhine Westfalia in support of the further development of institutes of higher learning in NRW and specifically their artistic course offerings. The chairman of the advisory board is the president of the Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria), Professor Reinhart von Gutzeit. The members of the board have been nominated by the ministry in agreement with the institutes of higher learning on the basis of the new legislation (KunstHG). The time of office for each member of the board is five years. The advisory board for institutes of higher learning works in support of the music academies in Detmold, Dusseldorf and Cologne, the Folkwang University of the Arts, the art academies in Dusseldorf and Munster, and The Art University for Media Cologne with their approximately 4500 students.
