Young Music Talents in Europe

The objects of YMTE is to support young talents in the under-18 level in music. YMTE aims to achieve its objects by:

_emphasizing the importance of a combined curriculum that includes both music and academic studies related to the preparation of students for professional studies in the future

_to form a collaborative network in order to improve and develop the curriculum in both music and academic studies, with the emphasis on excellent performance and substantive relevance

_the exchange and development of expertise

_encouraging and supporting exchange programs for students, staff and teachers.

NRW State Youth Ensembles
In cooperation with the Verein zur Förderung von Landesjugendensembles NRW, our young students are offered the following opportunities:
_Participation in the various formations without an additional audition
_In the case of outstanding performance, possibly after an audition: appointment to a first wind section position

The father of our junior student Samanta, from Prof. Thomas Günther's piano class, brings a unique perspective to the world of folkwang junior events. As a professional concert photographer, Christian Passauer now accompanies our events with his camera.
Not only as a photographer, but also as an experienced opera singer, his experience flows into the images he creates. With a special offer for our young students and teachers, he enables the creation of high-quality photos for application folders, agencies, concert organizers and more.
