Online election of student representatives
in the Senate and the faculty councils
for the one-year term of office from 01.04.2026
From 09.02.2026 to 13.02.2026, the online election for the members of the student status group to the Senate and the Faculty Councils will take place. Those entitled to vote will be given the opportunity to cast their vote via a link.
ELECTION PROPOSALS
Election proposals can be submitted by e-mail to wahlausschuss(at)folkwang-uni.de by 03.01.2026 using electronic pdf forms (see downloads).
ELECTION SYSTEM
Candidates are elected according to the principles of personalized proportional representation (with several lists) or according to the principles of majority voting (with only one list).
Personalized proportional representation is carried out on the basis of (election proposal) lists. When a candidate on a list is elected, the list as a whole is also elected.
Elections must be held in accordance with the principles of majority voting (personal election) if only one list is submitted per election and group or if only one representative of a group is to be elected. In the case of majority voting in a group, the eligible voter has as many votes per election as there are seats to be filled in the respective body.
ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE
Only those who are members of the university at the time of the election notice and are entered in the completed electoral register may vote.
Only those who are entered in the electoral roll in the student status group at the time of submitting the nominations may vote.
Any member entitled to vote may request access to the electoral roll by sending an email to wahlausschuss(at)folkwang-uni.de. Objections to the accuracy of the electoral roll must be submitted to the election committee by 25.01.2026 in writing, electronically by email to wahlausschuss(at)folkwang-uni.de or in writing
