Conducting vocal ensembles (M. Mus.)
Field of study: Singing with children and young people
60 CP - part-time
This course of study provides a professionally sound and artistically developable approach to all essential aspects of vocal work with children and young people. For this reason, artistic projects are developed and carried out during the course of the program, the student's own artistic personality is professionally trained and additional qualifications are taught to expand their own artistic activities. In this way, transfer services can also be used and larger interdisciplinary projects can be realized.
Target group
Artists, church musicians, teachers, in particular teachers at primary and secondary schools, who would like to expand their existing artistic-practical experience and at the same time deepen subject-specific central aspects of vocal work with children and young people.
Profile of the degree program
The aim of the course is to combine several artistically oriented developments, practice-oriented specialist knowledge and developmental-psychologically oriented teaching skills. This leads via the path of musical-artistic work to the successful realization of artistic and pedagogical plans within the framework of various projects.
A broad range of freely selectable course content (compulsory electives) expands the spectrum of individual sub-areas in the field of musical work with children and young people and at the same time sharpens the students' own artistic profile.
In addition, the part-time course opens students' eyes to the diverse music education aspects of artistic activity in general, the opportunities for early and structured vocal training and the possibilities for shaping this in kindergartens, schools and choirs, and the opportunities for personal development that this promotes.
