In September 2008, at the end of her term as artistic director of the FTS, Henrietta Horn created a final choreography together with the company: „Ablicht”; enthusiastically received and celebrated at its Bochum premiere in June.
It is a piece for seven young dancers of the folkwang Tanzstudio, who wished to be part of a new creation of Henrietta Horn before the artistic leadership change. For the choreographer, it is a work of and for different generations: what are young dancers interested in today? Who are they? What moves them?
After having constantly confronted herself and her dancers with experimental challenges in her most recent pieces, in „Ablicht” Henrietta Horn now focuses on the dancers themselves.
