Which corona protective measures generally apply in NRW?

On February 28, 2023, the Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia expired. Since March 1, 2023, the protective measures according to the Federal Infection Protection Act have been in force. What do I do, as a university member, if I have symptoms?

All persons who notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, a new cough, fever, sniffles or loss of taste or small are not allowed to enter the university grounds, or must immediately leave the grounds, avoiding contact with other people. They may only re-enter the grounds if they are confirmed to be clear of COVID-19 infection.

What do I do, as a university member, if I test positive for COVID-19?

All persons who have returned a positive self-test or PCR-test result are not allowed to enter the university grounds, or must immediately leave the grounds, avoiding contact with other people. They may only re-enter the grounds if they are confirmed to be clear of COVID-19 infection. If the test has been taken on the university grounds, the supervisor at the testing site will provide the students with an information sheet on how to proceed.

Who do I report to as an employee?

University staff who notice symptoms such as shortness of breath, a new cough, fever, cold-like sniffles or a loss of smell or taste before or during their time on campus must immediately report to krankmeldung(at)folkwang-uni.de. They will then be provided with further information on how to proceed. The same applies in cases where a PCR test has yielded a positive result or when a result of a required PCR test is still pending.

Who do I report to as a student?

In the event of symptoms such as shortness of breath, a new cough, fever, cold-like sniffles or a loss of smell or taste, students must contact the central student advisory service (studienberatung(at)folkwang-uni.de), which will provide them with information on how to proceed. The same applies in cases where a PCR test has yielded a positive result or when a result of a required PCR test is still pending.
