Musicology – Master of Arts (M.A.)

The Musicology M.A. study course comprises 2 study years (4 semesters) and can be started both in the winter and the summer semesters. The study at the Master level is so differentiated that the study plan can be adapted to the interests and professional requirements of the individual student.

It is possible to take the Master study course as a one-subject model with the "Historical Musicology", "Musicology and Cultural Studies" or "Concert and Musical Theatre Dramaturgy" fields of study, or – as is the case at the Bachelor level – as a two-subject module, with one of the fields of study specified above, in combination with an artistic subject.

On obtaining the Master degree, the Folkwang University of the Arts offers the possibility of a doctoral study.
