Anita Iselin, actress and director, was born in Switzerland in 1969. She studied acting at the University of the Arts in Graz, Austria. After her studies, she was engaged as an ensemble member at the Staatstheater Braunschweig. Further ensemble engagements followed at the Ulmer Theater, Neumarkt Theater Zurich, Staatsschauspiel Munich and Schauspiel Frankfurt.  She has been a guest at several theaters, including Deutsches Theater Berlin and the freie Theater-Szene in Switzerland. Ms. Iselin has worked with such directors as Andreas Kriegenburg, Dimitri Gottschef, Christoph Schlingensief, Roger Vontobel, Michael Thalheimer, Sebastian Hartmann, Anselm Weber, and Florian Fiedler, to name a few. She travelled to Mexico City and to Prague with the Deutsches Theater in guest productions and was invited to the Wiener Festwochen. She has been teaching acting at the university level since 2007.  Before being appointed to a professorship at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, she taught in the acting departments at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellend Kunst in Frankfurt am Main as well as in Stuttgart. Additionally, Ms. Iselin has been active in film, television and radio. She is married and lives with her two children and husband in Senftenberg.
