Remo Philipp was born in Magdeburg in 1989. From 2004 to 2010, he was an active member of the Magdeburg Theatre Youth Club, he worked together with the Magdeburg Puppet Theatre and free theatre groups and in 2008 took over the directing of a youth club production for the first time.
In the 2009/2010 season, he spent a Voluntary Social Year working in the field of theatre pedagogy at the Theater Magdeburg. Between 2010 and 2012, he directed in three productions of the Hans Otto Theatre Youth Club. From the 2012/2013 season to April 2015, he was assistant director at the Hans Otto Theatre collaborating with directors of the calibre of Markus Dietz, Michael Talke, Sascha Hawemann, Elias Perrig and Tobias Wellemeyer. During this period he staged: "Das Herz eines Boxers" (The Heart of a Boxer) by Lutz Hübner, "Geld darf nicht nötig sein" (Money won't be Necessary) based on "Genannt Gospodin" (Alias Gospodin) by Philipp Löhle and "Nieves" by Elsa-Sophie Jach (at the "Wildwuchs. Junge Texte fürs Theater" (Uncontrolled growth. Young Texts for the Theatre) Festival).

Daniel Kunze

Daniel Kunze, born in 1988 in Linz, was three-years-old when he played his first role in a children's theatre, without being aware that acting would not be his destiny.
A longed-for and promising football career was prematurely cut short at the age of 16 due to an injury. He then played guitar in a funk rock band and more roles in the school theatre. After obtaining his Higher School certificate and two semesters studying journalism in Vienna, he nevertheless started to train as an actor under Heribert Sasse at the Theater in der Josefstadt, also in Vienna.
There then followed theatre engagements and the production of several short films. The transition to directing ensued in 2013 when he enroled at the Folkwang University of the Arts – although this switchover happened earlier in his mind's eye. He writes his own plays, makes films and is keen on puns – although he rarely makes use of them.
