WLAN Access via eduroam

eduroam (Education Roaming) is a European initiative, with the intention of providing employees, teaching staff and students at the locations of all participating
organisations with internet access. eduroam is not only available in many organisations in Europe, but also outside Europe. Access to WLAN eduroam
is possible for you by logging on with your own user name and password.

Where can eduroam be used at Folkwang?

Who can use eduroam?

Employees, teaching staff and students, who have received their own login info from the Folkwang University of the Arts, can get a WLAN connection. Guests from other institutions have to specify their domain - for example:

How can external students and teaching staff use eduroam at Folkwang?

External eduroam users do not have to install any additional tools. They can immediately connect to the eduroam at Folkwang. It is, however, necessary to enter the home institution domain after the user name / identifier – for example: For more information on this, please refer to your home institution.

How do you use eduroam?

By using the identifier (as also used for the intranet) and the associated password, it is possible to obtain a WLAN connection for all notebooks and smartphones.
