Photography - Bachelor of Arts
The B.A. Study course offers students a clearly defined profile containing the components: Basic Principles of Photographs, Photo Design, Documentary Photography, Photography and Time-based Media, Artistic Photography as well as Theory and History of Photography.
The teaching is mainly based on communicating the general principles of design and photography and introducing independent pictorial composition processes. The deliberate combining of artistic and design teaching enables a broad training spectrum in the medium of photography. There is an increasing communication in theoretical academic knowledge in art historical, media and aesthetic subjects. In the Photography study course, the communication and application of knowledge are closely combined with each other. The forms of learning in the study course are determined not only by lectures, colloquia and exercises but also by self-study (reading, research, concept and similar). Added to this is the students' own practical work in the faculty's laboratories and workshops.
