Curriculum vitae

Rupert Schnitzler was born in Essen in 1986. He studied jazz-piano at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem/Netherlands and began studying musicology and classical piano at the Folkwang University of the Arts in 2012.

 

Since 2012 he has been a ballet pianist at the Gymnasium Essen-Werden and at various theaters in the region, including Aalto Ballett Essen, Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen and Ballettzentrum Westfalen in Dortmund.

 

Rupert Schnitzler has been a keyboard player and rehearsal pianist for such  productions as "Ein Mann geht durch die Wand", "Sunset Boulevard", "Kiss me Kate" and "Evita" with Konzertdirektion Langraf and is the keyboard player at the Starlight Express Theater in Bochum.

 

He has been a keyboard player for  various productions at the Folkwang Musical Department, including "Into the Woods" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Door".
