The Communications & Media division is the point of contact for enquiries from journalists and media representatives: 


We use press releases to provide information on the Folkwang events programme and all university-related topics of interest to the public, as well as developments and activities being undertaken by the Folkwang University of the Arts at all its locations (Essen-Werden, Zollverein World Heritage Site, Duisburg-Essen university campus), Duisburg, Bochum, Dortmund and currently also Wuppertal. 


We hold press conferences, arrange interviews with people from the fields of music, theatre, dance, design and academic studies, organise and assist with on-site TV and radio items, and analyse reports relating to the Folkwang University of the Arts in the media. Want to take photos or shoot films on one of the Folkwang campus premises? We will arrange the necessary permits for you – just contact us.
