Study course guidance at the Folkwang University of the Arts

A warm welcome to the Student Advisory Service! On the following pages, we have compiled various information relating to the subject of studying.

By advice and guidance, we understand a common process between you and us, taking place on a voluntary, individual and open-ended basis. We would like to support you in each and every phase of your study course by clarifying your concerns and making the best of all possible decision-making bases available for a solution to be found.

Initial general information on the subject of studying, academic structure and the study courses on offer at the Folkwang University of the Arts is available under the rubric General Information

If you intend to apply for a place at our university, then the rubric Before studying & Start of study may be of help to you in making a decision. Here you will find useful information on admission conditions, language requirements and the aptitude examinations.

Information on concerns that frequently arise while studying, such as examinations, module certifications and lectures are available under: While studying

Our advisory service is open from a thematic perspective. Alongside general study course guidance, we also offer individual advice – for example, in the event of uncertainties arising while studying.

Furthermore, we also offer the opportunity of group advisory sessions on specific subjects, such as starting to study at the Folkwang University of the Arts. Information events are also possible on request for school groups interested in studying.

We would also be delighted to advise you in person, by email or by telephone.

For questions going beyond the Student Advisory Service, we have compiled a series of more detailed information and suitable contact partners for you.
