Welcome to the Student Advisory Service!

We are the first point of contact for prospective and current students with any questions or problems around studying at Folkwang. Based on your individual situation, we would like to help you find your way to a decision or solution. This service is confidential, free of charge and available in German or English.

In addition, the student advisory service provides introductory meetings for first-year students and info sessions for prospective students in cooperation with other Folkwang faculty and staff. We also participate in education fairs and similar events events in cooperation with the Landesmusikakademie NRW, the University of Duisburg-Essen and others.

For subject-specific consultations, e.g. to assess your artistic performance level, please contact the lecturers of the respective study course or visit the info sessions held by the respective course or department. Portfolio consultation appointments for the bachelor's courses photography, product design and communication design are coordinated by Ms. Sonja Zenker.

*During our ZOOM office hour, you can simply log in via the link to the waiting room. Consultations are one on one; as soon as one of our advisors is available, we will allow you to join the call from the waiting room. Zoom consultations are subject to Zoom Inc's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
